Influence. That's what I think this quote is about. No one can change the world alone, but they can influence others, and consequently make those changes together.
In this day and age we see this everywhere; whether it's the music we hear, the clothes we wear or the food we eat! And yes, veganism is also being more and more known because of this.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that being influenced can be a good thing. So I bring you another post in the hopes of influencing you a little bit.
Recently I watched a documentary on Netflix called "The Game Changers" (which has been talked of a lot on twitter and other social media platforms) and this informative film is about a plant based diet and its advantages. It mostly focuses on athletes/active people, but it also makes the point of how beneficial it is for "normal" people.
After watching this, I started thinking about all the documentaries I've watched about the subject, and how one of these really influenced me to turn vegan and if it had that impact on me, then maybe if people watched these they would also feel inspired to make the switch.
So today I've decided to share a small list of documentaries about veganism/plant based lifestyle. Now, I know not everyone cares about fitness, or animals or the environment, but I know people usually have specific interests, so I'll be specific about which one you should watch according to your preferences.
"Earthlings" - this documentary exposes the suffering endured in factory farms, research labs, etc. It is a very hard movie to watch and is listed as horror because of how graphic it is. I believe it's a good way to learn why dairy is so horrible, many people don't realise what goes behind curtains. (I have never watched it because I would not cope, but if you really are an "animal lover" who eats meat - felt so ridiculous to write that - then you should watch it.)
"Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret" - this documentary follows the journey of an environmentalist who tries to figure out the solution to the most urgent environmental issues and the true route to sustainability. (this was the movie that inspired me to become vegan, all the data and research, it blew my mind. I couldn't be part of it so veganism was/is the option).
"What The Health" - this documentary focus on the health benefits of a vegan lifestyle. Obviously, if you really care about your health this is an excellent movie to learn how to improve your life and even reverse some of your problems. (no graphic content).
"The Game Changers" - this documentary follows a UFC Fighter that discovers an elite group of world-renowned athletes who follow a plant based diet, which proved him that everything he knew about protein was wrong.
These are my top four documentaries!! They are all very interesting and show great insight into a vegan lifestyle.
I would suggest watching at least the last three to have a full understanding on the subject and make a conscious choice if that's what you decide.
